Arrive Guwahati. Kamakhya Devi Temple on Nilachal Hill — one of India's 51 Shakti Peethas and the most powerful tantric temple. Ferry to Umananda Island Temple on the Brahmaputra. Evening river cruise. Overnight.
Day 02
⛺️ UNESCO Wildlife Sanctuary
Drive to Kaziranga National Park (4 hrs, 195 km). Check in to jungle resort. Afternoon jeep safari in central zone — Indian one-horned rhinoceros, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, hog deer and occasional Bengal tiger sightings. Overnight.
Day 03
🦙 Rhino & Tiger Territory
Pre-dawn 6 AM western range (Burapahar) jeep safari — lush grasslands with rhino and elephant herds. Return for breakfast. Late afternoon eastern range (Agoratoli) safari — highest tiger density. Optional elephant back safari (extra). Overnight.
Day 04
🏖 World's Largest River Island
Drive to Nimatighat (2.5 hrs). Ferry across the Brahmaputra to Majuli (world's largest river island, UNESCO tentative list). Visit Auniati Satra (17th c. Vaishnavite monastery) and Kamalabari Satra. Traditional mask-making and pottery craft demonstrations. Overnight.
Day 05
✈️ Farewell Assam
Morning ferry back from Majuli. Drive to Guwahati airport (3 hrs). Take home memories of rhino herds, elephant trumpets and the serene Brahmaputra.
